Barbara Stansil has been practicing law since 2014. She began her litigation career as a prosecutor. She is known for her tough but fair approach to litigation and her zealous advocacy for those she represents. She has successfully litigated and obtained favorable outcomes in numerous actions in the courts in which she is admitted. More recently, she has her focus to the civil arena. Her experience includes all aspects of litigation including, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.  Barbara is licensed in the states of Arizona, Indiana and Illinois. She has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for Arizona, and the United States District Court of Northern Indiana.

Barbara received her bachelor’s degrees in English and Film, Television and Theater from the University of Notre Dame. She went on to attend law school at the College of William and Mary’s Marshall-Wythe School of Law. During law school, she clerked at for Judge Matthew Kennelly at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She served as one of William and Mary’s Dean’s Associates, the Mid-Atlantic Black Law Student’s Association’s Mock Trial Director, and as a member of William and Mary’s Environmental Law and Policy Review.

In her free time, Barbara enjoys time with her friends and family, traveling, singing, dancing, reading and swimming.
